If you have skimmed through this site you will have noticed there was no updates for September, that’s due to me working on other projects (non-bike related) so no page to follow up on.
The other night was in the garage looking at what I can and need to do on the ZX9R and in grabbing the front brake (as you do) I noticed no pressure in the front brakes and the caliper is leaking fluid. A check seams to indicate the “packing seal” between the caliper bodies may be responsible. To address this I’ve order 4 new ones, they are part number 43049-1004.
When I last posted, I had ordered new seals for the rear caliper and these have arrived and are sitting on the bench ready to go in.
This month I intend on re-installing the rear brake and fixing the front brakes so they are working. I also noticed the GPz1100B2 was leaking brake fluid from the front caliper so I am going to spend a bit of love on that one.
