GPz1100 Update

GPz1100 Update

While this site is primarily a marketing page for the book, my main web site is z900collector.wordpress.com and its there I post most of my restoration and rebuilding articles.

Recently I have started back on my 1982 GPz1100B2 which over the weekend had its engine re-assembled and ready to install the engine back in the frame hopefully this week!

Update! – Engine installed, more parts ordered and its now a roller! – Exhaust, carbs, bodywork to sort out shortly.

Purchasing the book

Purchasing the book

A google search will yield current suppliers of the book, Amazon is your best bet if you are in the US of A, outside of that it’s for sale in Africa, Australia, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom and anywhere English is spoken natively!

OMG – How did this happen!!!

Well it had too happen! – A small number of layout errors are present in the book but there is also 3 images showing the charging system that are just plain wrong! So if you see an image showing a positive ground – don’t believe it, the updated image that went to the publisher hasĀ a negative ground like the three shown below.

Rewarding a craftsman

Rewarding a craftsman

Many of the alloy parts shown in the book look almost brand new despite some being over 40 years old, this is due to the work of Wayne from Specialized Blasting Services who has water blasted engine and body parts for me over the years.

Some samples of his work are as follows:
